Exhort 75 – Prayer for Financial Hardship: A Prayer for When You’re Broke

When financial pressure feels overwhelming, this prayer helps restore hope, calm the mind, and reconnect your spirit to God’s provision.

1. Dear God,
   I thank You
   for all You have done
   and all You have been to me.
2. I acknowledge
   Your greatness
   and Your omnipotence.
3. I come before You today
   with a heavy heart.
4. I am struggling, Lord.
   My resources are depleted,
   and I face
   a painful financial hardship.
5. I feel the weight of this burden,
   the fear of not knowing
   how my needs will be met.
6. Yet I know
   You are a God of abundance,
   a God who provides.
7. I do not understand
   why I am in this situation,
   but I trust
   that You have a plan.
8. I ask for financial provision
   to manifest miraculously
   in my life.
9. I ask for guidance
   and understanding
   of Your divine plan for me.
10. Show me the opportunities
    I may be missing.
11. Give me the wisdom
    to make sound decisions.
12. Strengthen my resolve
    to work with diligence—
    knowing it is not by power
    nor by might,
    but by Your Spirit.
13. For unless You build the house,
    the laborer builds in vain.
14. Send me
    special understanding
    and divine help,
    just as You multiplied
    the widow’s jars of oil.
15. More than anything,
    I ask for peace.
16. A sound mind.
    A calm heart.
    Courage for each day—
    not fear
    and not despair.
17. Remind me
    that my worth
    is not defined
    by my financial situation.
18. Help me trust
    Your provision
    and lean on You
    for balance
    and clarity.
19. I am grateful
    for what I do have—
    my health,
    my family,
    my abilities,
    my past successes—
    all gifts from You.
20. Help me use these gifts wisely.
    Help me create
    a flow of abundance
    that continues to grow.
21. Teach me generosity
    even in my need.
22. I place my worries
    and my future
    in Your hands.
23. I trust Your love,
    Your mercy,
    and Your unfailing goodness.
24. May goodness and mercy
    follow me all the days
    of my life,
    and may I dwell
    in Your presence forever.
