Prayer for Financial Hardship: Finding Hope When You’re Broke

  1. Dear God, I thank You for all You have done and been to me, and I acknowledge Your greatness and omnipotence.
    I come before You today, Lord, with a heavy heart.
  2. I am struggling, Lord. My resources are depleted, and I am facing financial hardship.
    I feel the weight of this burden and the anxiety of not knowing how I will meet my needs.
  3. I know that You are a God of abundance, a God who provides. I don’t understand why I am in this situation, but I trust that You have a plan.
  4. I ask for financial provision to miraculously manifest in my life. I also ask for guidance and understanding of Your plan for me.
  5. Show me the opportunities I may be missing. Give me the wisdom to make sound decisions.
  6. Strengthen my resolve to work, knowing it’s not by power or might, but by Your divine Spirit.
  7. I can work all I want, but I know, as Your Word says, “Except the Lord builds the house, the laborer builds it in vain.”
  8. Please provide the special understanding I need, just as Elisha provided the widow with jars of oil. Send help, oh Lord!
  9. More than anything, Lord, I ask for peace and a sound mind—peace in my heart and peace in my mind—so that I can face each day with courage and hope, not fear and despair.
  10. Help me to remember that my worth is not defined by my financial situation.
  11. Help me to lean on You and trust in Your provision. I ask that Your Spirit keep me balanced, oh Lord.
  12. I am grateful for what I do have—my health, my family, my abilities, and the successes, all of which I acknowledge have come from You.
  13. Help me to use these gifts wisely. Help me create a spring of wealth that continually streams abundance.
    And help me to be generous with what I can, even in my need.
  14. I place my worries and my future in Your hands. I trust in Your love, Your mercy, and Your unfailing goodness.
    May Your goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life, and may I dwell in Your presence forever.
