Exhort 10 – Prayer for Trust and Reliance

If you struggle with relying too much on people or systems,
this prayer will help you rest your trust fully in God,
the one true Source of unwavering support.

1. Only in God
   do I find the support I need.
   Only in God
   do I discover the trust I seek.
2. The world is filled
   with countless systems,
   people,
   situations,
   and structures.
3. I have relied on them
   for many reasons,
   only to realize
   that they cannot be
   truly depended upon.
4. Systems, people, situations, structures,
   traditions, cultures—
   none can offer
   unwavering support.
5. They pursue their own objectives,
   often unrelated to mine.
   So I engage with them,
   fully aware of their nature
   and their limitations.
6. I do not blame them.
   I do not judge them.
   Every situation arises
   for reasons
   beyond human understanding.
7. Just as I cannot see
   hair growing
   or food digesting,
   life’s simplest aspects
   carry intricate formulas.
8. These complex formulas
   are governed
   by the Most Divine principles.
9. Thus, I place my trust
   and reliance
   in the Creator
   and Sustainer of all.
10. When I am afraid,
    God grants me peace.
11. When faced with hatred,
    God offers me love.
12. When in need,
    God provides.
13. When sadness creeps in,
    God’s joy rises
    to contend with it.
14. This Divine balance in my life
    sets the stage
    for miracles.
15. My trust lies
    solely in God.
16. I recognize the imperfections
    of every situation,
    compared to God’s perfection
    in my life.
17. Moment by moment,
    I depend on God.
    My path becomes clear.
18. My confidence and faith
    in the Most Divine Source
    grow stronger
    with each passing minute.
19. I feel reassured.
    I feel secure.
    I feel balanced.
20. At night,
    I rest well.
    During the day,
    I thrive.
21. In vehicles,
    planes,
    trains,
    or boats,
    I am safe
    and protected.
22. On land,
    air,
    and water,
    favor surrounds me.
23. My heart is grateful,
    poised in glory
    for great things.
24. God’s Spirit envelops me,
    providing all I need—
    and more.
25. May God’s will be done,
    and may I have the grace
    to comprehend it
    and embrace it.
