Exhort 1 – Prayer for Thanksgiving

If your heart longs to give thanks for every blessing—seen and unseen—this prayer of gratitude will guide you in offering praise to the Most Divine.

I am grateful in every circumstance.
For each situation helps me
appreciate the Most Divine.
Who would I be
without the constant blessings
that grace my life
day and night?
Who am I
to withhold gratitude
for existing in ways
I cannot comprehend
or possibly deserve?
I give thanks
for family and friends
who bring joy and laughter.
For companionship.
For nourishing food.
For shelter and clothing.
For countless other gifts
I may not even recognize.
I acknowledge
my abilities alone
are insufficient
to justify my existence
and survival.
I understand
all my plans
have ultimately
become Yours.
I recognize
how my path
has led to pleasant places.
How everything
has worked for my benefit
in the end.
In moments of fear,
timidity,
and uncertainty—
You have been
my refuge.
I am thankful
to the Most Divine
who has always
been there for me.
I am grateful
for the continuous flow
of blessings
that enrich my life.
I may not know
how my heart beats,
but I feel its rhythm.
I may not understand
how my organs function,
but my body moves
as expected.
I may not see
the blood flowing
through my veins,
but I know
it moves in divine harmony,
sustaining my life.
An overwhelming joy
fills me
as I contemplate
my gratitude for God.
This reaffirms
my connection
to the Divine Source—
with no need
for intermediaries.
This is a direct message
of thanksgiving
to the Source.
Please accept
my heartfelt offering
of gratitude
and thanksgiving.
