this night prayer for household blessings will help you rest securely
under God’s protection and love.

1. Before we drift off
   to sleep tonight,
   we humbly seek
   Your Divine protection,
   O God.
2. As we reflect
   on the day that has passed
   and the night
   that greets us,
   we express our thanks
   and appreciation.
3. May tonight provide us
   with a deeply restful sleep—
   rejuvenating our weary souls
   and mending
   our brokenness.
4. Let love,
   the banner of heaven,
   shield us
   from all harm
   and negativity
   as we dream tonight.
5. In Your benevolent grasp,
   we and our dear ones
   are secure
   and free from harm.
6. We entrust
   the promises
   and blessings
   of the forthcoming day
   to Your capable hands,
   O God.
