Exhortation #91

Don’t worry. You are in the right place at the right time to pray for divine healing and for your blood pressure to come down. Settle into God’s presence, knowing that you are doing something divine for yourself right now. Allow this prayer to invite God’s peace, healing, and restoring presence over your heart, mind, and body.

  1. Dear God, I thank You
    for Your presence,
    Your mercy,
    and Your unfailing love.
  2. Thank You
that I can come to You
    in moments of peace
    and in moments
    when I am afraid.
  3. Lord,
    You see
    what is happening
    within my body.
  4. You see
    the pressure
    that concerns me.
  5. You see
    my heart,
    my blood vessels,
    my circulation,
    and every system
    working within me.
  6. And You also see
    the fear
    that can rise
    when I see
    a high reading.
  7. You know
    how quickly
    my thoughts can race.
  8. One number
    can fill my mind
    with worry.
  9. One reading
    can make me wonder
    what is happening
    inside my body.
  10. I begin thinking
    about what could happen.
  11. I become afraid
    and give room
    to fear.
  12. But Lord,
    You are my rock
    and my salvation.
  13. Remove the frightening thoughts
    of a stroke,
    a heart attack,
    or something suddenly
    going wrong.
  14. Do not let fear
    take authority
    over this moment.
  15. Lord,
    remove this exhaustion
    with Your divine light.
  16. Let Christ’s healing
    become established
    within my body.
  17. Let my body
    settle into Your peace.
  18. Let my numbers
    return to a healthy range
    as I place my faith
    in You, Lord.
  19. And when anxiety rises,
    help me lean
    even more deeply
    into You.
  20. So right now,
    I turn my attention
    away from fear
    and toward You.
  21. I place
    this blood pressure,
    this anxiety,
    this uncertainty,
    and this entire situation
    into Your hands.
  22. I surrender
    the pressure
    I have been carrying.
  23. The responsibilities.
  24. The financial concerns.
  25. The family concerns.
  26. The work.
  27. The expectations.
  28. The things
    I have been trying
    to control.
  29. The things
    I cannot control.
  30. And the burdens
    I have quietly carried
    within myself.
  31. Help me release
    what has become
    too heavy.
  32. Have mercy on me, Lord,
    for the ways
    stress,
    fear,
    my choices,
    my habits,
    or unseen burdens
    may have affected
    my body.
  33. Give me wisdom
    to recognize
    what needs to change.
  34. Give me strength
    to make those changes.
  35. And give me grace
    not to live
    in condemnation
    or fear.
  36. Stretch forth
    Your healing hand.
  37. Speak peace
    over my heart.
  38. Speak peace
    over my arteries.
  39. Speak peace
    over my circulation.
  40. Bring my blood pressure
    into a healthy
    and stable range.
  41. Let unnecessary tension
    within my body
    release.
  42. Let my blood vessels
    relax.
  43. Let blood flow
    freely and peacefully
    throughout my body.
  44. Let my heart
    beat steadily.
  45. Let every rhythm
    within me
    settle into order.
  46. Protect my heart.
  47. Protect my brain.
  48. Protect my kidneys.
  49. Protect every organ
    affected by the flow
    of blood
    through my body.
  50. Lord,
    where there is inflammation,
    bring healing.
  51. Where there is tension,
    bring release.
  52. Where there is imbalance,
    bring restoration.
  53. Where something
    within my body
    needs attention,
    bring it into the light
    and lead me
    toward the right care.
  54. Send Your Holy Spirit
    gently through this body.
  55. Let Your divine light
    flow through my heart,
    through my arteries,
    through my veins,
    through every vessel,
    every organ,
    every tissue,
    and every cell.
  56. Let Your healing presence
    reach every place
    that needs restoration.
  57. Calm my nervous system.
  58. Quiet the alarm
    within my body.
  59. Remove the thoughts
    that keep telling me
    something terrible
    is about to happen.
  60. Remind me
    that I do not have
    to solve everything
    in this moment.
  61. Help my breathing
    become slower.
  62. Help my body
    release its tension.
  63. Help my mind
    become still.
  64. Let my body
    feel safe enough
    to relax.
  65. Break the cycle
    of fear
    and physical alarm.
  66. When I check
    my blood pressure,
    help me not
    to become consumed
    by the numbers.
  67. Give me wisdom
    to pay attention
    without becoming afraid
    and to keep my focus
    on You.
  68. Give me patience
    to care for myself
    without obsessing.
  69. Let peace
    have more authority
    over my thoughts
    than fear.
  70. Lord,
    when it is time
    for me to rest,
    help my body
    settle.
  71. And when it is time
    for me to sleep,
    quiet my mind,
    calm my heart,
    and allow me
    to enter peaceful,
    restoring sleep.
  72. Let the night
    be a time
    of renewal.
  73. Let my body
    rest deeply.
  74. Let my heart
    work peacefully.
  75. Let restoration continue
    while I sleep
    in Your presence.
  76. Surround me, Lord,
    with supportive people,
    wise medical guidance,
    healthy habits,
    helpful resources,
    and every form
    of assistance
    You know I need.
  77. Guide my choices
    about food,
    movement,
    rest,
    stress,
    and the way
    I care for this body.
  78. Give those caring for me
    wisdom and discernment.
  79. Help me recognize
    when I need help
    and give me peace
    to receive it.
  80. Protect me
    from living
    in constant fear
    of what might happen.
  81. I will not allow
    every sensation
    to become
    a prophecy of disaster.
  82. I will not allow
    a number
    to become greater
    than my trust in You.
  83. Instead,
    I will walk
    in wisdom.
  84. I will seek
    the right care.
  85. I will make
    the changes
    You lead me to make.
  86. And I will place
    what I cannot control
    into Your hands.
  87. Let Your goodness
    and mercy
    surround me.
  88. Restore peace
    within my mind.
  89. Restore balance
    within my body.
  90. Restore strength
    within my heart.
  91. May this body
    become a testimony
    of Your mercy,
    Your wisdom,
    Your faithfulness,
    and Your healing power.
  92. I trust
    that You are with me
    right now.
  93. I trust
    that You are guiding me.
  94. I trust
    that I do not have
    to face this fear
    alone.
  95. Thank You, God for your everlasting goodness and mercy,
    for calming me,
    for strengthening me,
    for watching over me,
    and for carrying me
    through every step
    of this journey.

Amen.
