Exhort 71 – Prayer of Gratitude After Divine Deliverance
This prayer expresses deep thanksgiving to God after being delivered from something that once felt frightening, overwhelming, or impossible — only to see God transform it into peace, blessing, and testimony.
- Dear God,
I come to You
with a grateful heart,
remembering where I once stood. - There was a shadow before me,
a situation I could not control,
and fear quietly crept into my thoughts. - I felt small,
uncertain,
and unable to see a way forward. - So I turned to You,
and with humility
I lifted my voice,
admitting that I could not fix it
on my own. - I cried out
for Your mercy,
Your help,
Your covering. - And then —
You moved. - What could have gone wrong
did not. - What could have broken
was held together. - What seemed like it would bring loss
instead became a place
of unexpected blessing. - It is as if
the trouble never came —
and yet my faith
has been forever changed. - You turned my worry
into relief,
my fear
into peace,
my dread
into testimony. - Truly,
You exchange ashes
for beauty. - You take what looks like harm
and reshape it
for good. - Only You, God,
can turn potential disaster
into a doorway of favor
and divine protection. - I see now
that while I saw a dead end,
You saw a path. - While I trembled,
You were already at work. - While I imagined loss,
Your goodness and mercy
were already surrounding me. - This was not luck.
This was not chance. - This was Your hand,
Your character,
Your faithfulness
revealed again. - I honor You,
and I give glory to Your name. - I walk away from this moment
with deeper trust,
stronger peace,
and a heart anchored
in Your goodness. - And the next time
a shadow appears,
I will remember this deliverance,
and I will rest
in Your love. - Thank You, God,
for turning what I feared
into something that glorifies You.
