Exhort 45 - Prayer for Serenity

If your spirit longs for stillness, let this prayer guide you toward divine calm and surrender.

My soul and being
long for Your tranquility and serenity, dear God.
Somehow, I find myself here,
recognizing my role in Your divine plan
that surpasses my understanding.
I pray for wisdom and resilience to persevere,
knowing You are guiding me
and will lead me to pleasant places.
I acknowledge
that it is not by my own strength or power,
but through the Spirit of God
that I thrive.
Thus, I release control
and surrender to You, dear God,
seeking the serenity that comes
from abiding in Your presence.
I pray for patience and a clear mind
to continually rely on Your plan, not mine,
as it paves the way to serenity.
Even when life’s storms
threaten to capsize my vessel,
I remain composed and serene,
knowing that I am safe
and God is in command.
I relinquish control,
allowing God’s goodness, mercy, and joy
to flow through me
until I radiate His kindness,
tranquility, and gentleness.
I ask, dear God,
that You relieve me of any tensions and influences
that hinder me from experiencing
the serenity and calmness You have intended for me.
I pray for the capacity
to see the larger picture
through Your divine perspective,
filled with love for You
and my fellow beings.
Thank you
for bestowing serenity upon me
and transforming my troubled heart
into a vessel of joy and peace.
